Active Members: Experts in Developing Supporting Measures and Aiding Workers On-site
Active members of IWAO are scientists as well as experts in water supply. Preparing for potential catastrophes, they develop adequate supporting measures and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment. They also help on-site in disaster regions.
Active members willing to take part in operations on-site have to fulfill certain requirements: they need to take part in IWAO training courses on water supply in emergencies and, in case of a crisis, they need to be able to respond to the IWAO’s request within twelve hours. Expertise or relevant professional experience in the fields of water, fire protection or emergency management is also a necessary prerequisite.

... be willing to be vaccinated if necessary, and to undergo a medical check.
... clarify questions concerning insurance with their employer in advance. (Employers often release IWAO members from work to take part in drinking water emergency operations and are also willing to take over labor-law-related insurance.)
... have valid international health insurance and private liability insurance. (IWAO can’t be liable for personal damage or material damage caused by members. Therefore IWAO expects that all claims resulting from the operations will be covered under private law.)
If active members comply with these requirements, IWAO will be able to react quickly and to give aid in emergencies. There are no specific requirements for >> sponsoring membership because sponsoring members are not deployed in emergencies.
The fee for active membership is ten euros per year.

IWAO supports the work fo the springboard foundation with 10.000 Chlorine Tablets. The Tablets arrived in Manila and shall be handed over to the springboard foundation staff immediately.
